The WWE's resident real life bully, Hardcore Holly, has made his return to Monday Night Raw.

Time Off
Back on April 3, 2007, the WWE wrote Hardcore Holly out of the storyline so that he could have surgery to release a nerve entrapment in his elbow. They decided to do an injury angle where Snitsky used a steel chair ot put Hardcore Holly out of commission.
WWE Draft Lottery
Hardcore Holly was drafted over to the Smackdown brand during the WWE Draft Lottery on June 17, 2007.
It's been said that Hardcore Holly was not happy with the decision to move him to the Smackdown brand. He never did make his debut there.
Retirement
It's a bit convenient that Hardcore Holly would make his return weeks after threatening to retire because of injury issues.
The WWE wanted to use Hardcore Holly in a tag team with Eugene. They were going to be managed by a monkey (yes, you read that right).
Many have speculated that Hardcore Holly used his injuries as an excuse because he didn't really like the idea of being involved in a comedy routine.
That or his injuries have magically disappeared. |
Switch to Raw
Apparently, Hardcore Holly has plenty of friends in high places. Not only has he managed to somehow stay with the company, he has forced his way from the Smackdown brand and on to the Raw brand.
Feud With Cody Rhodes
In his return match on September 25, 2007, Hardcore Holly got the clean win over Cody Rhodes. He won the battle, but we're expecting him to lose the war.
After weeks of having Cody Rhodes beating low level Raw wrestlers, the writers have finally decided to put him in an actual feud. Unless things change, Hardcore Holly is expected to help put over Cody Rhodes in a feud.
Oddly enough, Hardcore Holly did a quick promo before the match where he talked about Cody Rhodes needing to win his respect. The writers were basically planting the seeds for a feud, but in reality, that line is ridiculous. Hardcore Holly hasn't accomplished much as a wrestler, so earning his respect is about as meaningful as getting to a wrestling convention early to get Virgil's autograph.
Closing Thoughts
There was anticipation until Lilian Garcia finished saying, "He's hardcore. Hardcore Holly!"
Then, Hardcore Holly was met with silence. You can expect to see this scene repeated at various venues across the country. |
Lyndy Frieson
Lyndy Frieson is the 2nd contestant to be eliminated form the 2007 WWE Diva Search. Last week, Naomi Kirk was the first contestant eliminated. |
|
Kevin Thorn
The WWE has been promoting a nonexistent rivalry between Burke and Thorn on their website, so these two may be the finalists in the ECW title chase. |
| Boogeyman
The WWE may continue the feud between Boogeyman and Big Daddy V tonight so that they can utilize a gimmick match to finish things off. |
|
Judas Mesias
As expected, Judas Mesias missed the first 2 hour iMPACT! tapings due to injuries he suffered from a match down in Mexico over the weekend. |
Randy Orton
Randy Orton missed last night's episode of Monday Night Raw because he had requested the time off to get married. He should be back before next week. |
|
Marcus Cor Von
It has been revealed that the WWE had continued paying Marcus Cor Von a portion of his contract while he took time off to deal with a family emergency. |
King Booker
Apparently, talks between King Booker and the WWE have gone well enough to where management expects him to return after his 60 day suspension. |
|
Vince McMahon
It's been reported that Vince McMahon has tried to explain to stockholders that pay per view buyrates aren't going to be raised much higher. |
