WWE Wants Sid Vicious Back
A while back, Sid Vicious was telling everyone that was willing to listen that he wanted to return to the WWE. Well, now it looks like the WWE is returning the interest.

Main Event
Sid Vicious has won two world titles in WCW and two world titles in the WWE.
He's also feuded with some of the biggest names in the business (Sting, Jake "the Snake" Roberts, the Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Bret "the Hitman" Hart).
If he's healthy and in shape, he can come in and provide the WWE with another main eventer (especially on Smackdown).
In a newspaper interview, Sid Vicious stated that his comeback would be "the biggest comeback in sports history".
That's a bit of an overstatement, but his comeback does have the potential to do well.
Conditioning
Sid Vicious has been working a few matches here and there on the independent scene in the last few weeks. He's even feuding with Monday Night Raw commentator Jerry Lawler in Memphis, Tennessee.
While his matches haven't been anything great, most realize that his matches never were. Even when he was in his prime, his matches consisted of power moves and opponents being able to sell for him.
With the WWE's intentional slow style of wrestling, Sid Vicious should be able to do just fine. |
John Laurinaitis
Out of all the people in the front office, John Laurinaitis is the most enthusiastic about bringing back Sid Vicious. He's fully aware that Vince McMahon loves to have wrestlers who are "larger than life". Sid Vicious definitely fits that bill.
This comes as a surprise to a lot of people since there has been heat between Sid Vicious and John Laurinaitis.
In the now infamous WCW match where Sid Vicious shattered his ankle, John Laurinaitis was the agent. He was also the one that convinced Sid Vicious to do a flying big boot off the second rope despite the fact that wasn't a part of his moveset.
Those close to the situation have stated that Sid Vicious blames John Laurinaitis for that injury; an injury which shortened his career.
Arn Anderson
The two got into a brawl was WCW was on an overseas tour. It left both men with stab wounds.
Sid Vicious was fired shortly after the fight. Management was pressured to do so because several of the wrestlers threatened to leave WCW if he was still in the company after an incident like that.
It's been said that Sid Vicious has apologized to Arn Anderson for the incident. The two are on speaking terms, but in no way are they buddies.
Arn Anderson is a professional, so if Sid Vicious were brought back into the fold, he'd definitely give a good effort to be cordial and put the business first.
Closing Thoughts
If Sid Vicious is brought him for a short term stint where he is an upper midcarder, then this comeback would be a positive for the WWE.
Use him as a main eventer or world champion, and there's going to be problems. |
