Where's Carlito?

He's complained before about being unhappy with the company. WWE convinced him to stick around. With his latest absence, will this finally be the last straw for Carlito?

Where's Carlito?

On this week's episode of Raw, wrestling fans witnessed someone making their chest muscles dance in front of legendary musician Ozzy Osbourne while his classic hit "Crazy Train" blared through the speakers.

You would think that this particular scene would be the most bizarre thing that you would see.

You would be wrong, though.

For those that watch wrestling closely, the strangest thing that happened on Raw this week was the fact that seldom used Jamie Noble and Chris Masters were given television time while Carlito remains in the background.

The immensely talented second generation star has not been seen on Raw since the middle of September.

He's not on suspension. Nor is he injured.

Management has given the typical excuse of "not having anything for him" as the reason why Carlito has not been on television.

Beneath the Surface

Generally, when the writers gave that lame excuse, there's a lot more to the story than what they want you to believe.

The writers have time to script in comedic sketches for the likes of Santino Marella, Hornswoggle, and Chavo Guerrero. However, they can't seem to find the time to push a wrestler who is gifted on the mic and in the ring.

Like I said, there's more to the story.

As is typical with wrestlers who may be on the verge of leaving, a lot of wrestling fans have already begun to turn on Carlito and started believing the hype that he simply does not care about his career.

Truth of the matter, though, is that Carlito may be in his current state of mind because he has grown disenchanted with how poor his pushes have been. There's been several promised pushes that have failed to surface.

When Carlito asked for his release, he showed that he was someone that cared if he's being pushed or not. If he didn't care, he would have just stuck around and collected the paychecks.

What's Next?

There really is no excuse for why WWE isn't pushing Carlito right now.

They split him apart from his brother Primo Colon for no apparent reason. Since neither guy is doing much right now, it would make sense to pair them back together since they were a decent tag team.

A feud with Cryme Tyme or the Hart Dynasty would have provided fans with something fresh. The feud might not have made it on to a pay per view, but it would have been something new for people to see.

Carlito could have also been traded over to the ECW brand. An ECW Heavyweight Championship feud against Christian would have been quite entertaining and productive.

At worse, WWE should allow Carlito to leave. He can continue his career in either TNA or back down in Puerto Rico.

Closing Thoughts

It seems as if I've written this article about a dozen times. I really wished that something would happen soon, both for Carlito's sake and mine.
