Vladimir Kozlov's Title Shot

With the way things have been set up in recent weeks, it looks like Vladimir Kozlov is about to get his much coveted title shot.
Kozlov's Title Shot
Over the last few weeks, WWE has been setting things up for Vladimir Kozlov's eventual title shot at the Survivor Series.
First, they had him destroying wrestlers left and right in an attempt to build up his credibility.
They even placed him into a program with Jeff Hardy and Triple H, but fortunately, the fans didn't buy into it just yet and decided not to vote for the Russian Mauler at Cyber Sunday.
Both Triple H and Jeff Hardy have been putting him over as of late as well so that the fans will think that he has enough credibility.
Now, WWE has decided to step things up and have him face the Undertaker in a huge match on Smackdown next week.
If Vladimir Kozlov can pick up the win, then he's going to the Survivor Series as the challenger for the WWE Heavyweight Championship.
Beating the Undertaker
It's an interesting move by WWE putting Vladimir Kozlov in a match against the Undertaker.
It's quite obvious that WWE wants him to face Triple H at the Surivor Series, so that means that he'll more than likely be picking up a victory next week.
Giving him a clean win over the Undertaker is going to cause quite a bit of an uproar from the audience.
It would also give him quite a boost heading into his first WWE Heavyweight Championship title shot.
Of course, it's difficult to see WWE having the Undertaker lose cleanly here, especially against an opponent that isn't quite established yet.
WWE can always have the Big Show interfering in the match to cost the Undertaker the match.
Big Show and Undertaker have been feuding as of late, so that would make sense. Plus, it would also add more heat to the Big Show.
New Champion
The talk going around right now is that WWE is seriously considering putting the belt around the waist of Vladimir Kozlov.
Personally, I hope it doesn't happen, but it really does appear to be something that the company wants to do.
Vladimir Kozlov can become the monster heel champion, and Triple H can then play the role of the underdog babyface trying to get his belt back.
Closing Thoughts
I still think Smackdown has a ton of other potential matchups for the WWE Heavyweight Championship. No need for Vladimir Kozlov just yet. |
