Michelle McCool's Heel Turn
by Jack Windham
November 29, 2008
With the way things have been folding out lately, it appears as if Michelle McCool is set to turn heel pretty soon.
Michelle McCool's Heel Turn
As of late, Michelle McCool's character has been having trouble getting along with the other babyface divas on Smackdown.
On this week's episode of Smackdown, she got into an argument with the Bella Twins after the three lost a tag team match.
When Maria Kanellis attempted to calm the situation down, she was rewarded with a shove from Michelle McCool.
It won't be long until we see a full fledge heel turn for Michelle McCool.
Art Imitates Life
Michelle McCool has slowly become one of the most hated wrestlers with the internet wrestling community.
The internet wrestling community has a history of not being so kind to people who use backstage politics to get to where they are.
It's no secret that Michelle McCool is involved in a relationship with the Undertaker; a relationship that many wrestling fans credit for her ascension on Smackdown.
There's also been reports that Michelle McCool has been having some conflicts backstage with the other divas (which Jim Ross has tried to downplay by using humor).
Since the fans aren't really buying into her as the top babyface diva (and dislike her in real life), WWE is making the right move by turning her into heel.
Potential Feuds
Michelle McCool has tore her way through the heel divas on Smackdown.
With just Maria Kanellis and the Bella Twins on the babyface side, it doesn't appear as if Michelle McCool is going to have much competition.
If you're thinking that, then you're definitely right.
Former TNA Knockouts Champion Gail Kim is expected to make her debut on Smackdown pretty soon.
Since Michelle McCool is turning heel, it appears as if Gail Kim is going to be brought in as a babyface.
A feud between these two would be good for Michelle McCool since she can be carried by Gail Kim, who happens to be one of the best overall female performers in the business.
To be honest, I would much rather see Gail Kim on the Raw brand, going up against the likes of Beth Phoenix, Katie Lea Burchill, and Mickie James.
However, she's needed a lot more on the Smackdown brand than she is on the Raw brand.
Closing Thoughts
I'm not entirely sold that Michelle McCool can portray a convincing heel. Hopefully, she proves me wrong. |
