Brian Kendrick and Drugs

If you're wondering why Brian Kendrick hasn't been pushed as much lately, it appears as if drugs are the reason why.
Kendrick on Drugs
Reports have surfaced throughout the internet that Brian Kendrick is the mystery wrestler who has failed the marijuana test multiple times.
Earlier this month, reports surfaced that a Smackdown wrestler has failed the marijuana test approximately 12 times.
Of course, all eyes were on Jeff Hardy because of his past issues with drugs.
However, it turns out that the finger is now being pointed at Brian Kendrick.
Push Paused
WWE has become a lot more strict when it comes to marijuana.
Right now, the company's policy is simply to find the wrestler $1,000 for an infraction. It does not count against the three strikes program.
What management has decided to do is to punish the wrestlers by putting an end to their pushes.
If you look at Brian Kendrick over the last few weeks, it's easy to notice that his push has been on a decline as of late.
At Unforgiven, Brian Kendrick was given a tremendous opportunity. He was one of the five wrestlers involved in a championship scramble match for the WWE Heavyweight Championship.
After that, though, his momentum has been declining quite a bit because his push has been suddenly halted.
Straighten Up
If the allegations are true, then Brian Kendrick really needs to straighten up.
He has an opportunity of a lifetime right now, and he needs to capitalize on that.
WWE has a lot of faith in him, as evident by the push that he was given at Unforgiven.
He's an awesome in-ring performer who really needs to work on his character and mic work.
If he can stay clean, then there's a blockbuster feud with Jeff Hardy just waiting for him.
A feud between the two could be just what Brian Kendrick needs to establish himself as a main event performer.
More Popular
In a weird way, Brian Kendrick might actually become even more popular because of the marijuana allegations.
There's a large amount of wrestling fans who enjoy marijuana. These particular fans are actually complimenting Brian Kendrick for standing up for his personal hobby.
It worked for Rob Van Dam back in the days. It might work for Brian Kendrick now.
Closing Thoughts
It really is a shame to see wrestlers who do all of the right things without ever receiving a chance.
It's even more of a shame when you see wrestlers who are given a chance but end up ruining it because of unnecessary things. |
