Batista Frustrated

by Jack Windham
September 17, 2008

Batista is frustrated with how he's being used, and many people are wondering if the Animal will be unleashed.

Batista Frustrated

Word going around backstage is that Batista is really frustrated with how the company has been using him lately.

He doesn't feel that WWE is pushing him hard enough.

Batista feels that he belongs in the main event picture; not the upper midcard level.

The frustration level has risen to the point where some believe that Batista is contemplating retirement from wrestling.

Retirement

A lot of wrestling fans are still unaware that Batista is 39 years old.

While that doesn't qualify him to be a senior citizen in wrestling, he's also not a young guy.

There's always been talks that Batista was looking to retire from the ring within the next five years.

His recent frustrations with the company has led many to believe that he's seriously contemplating retirement even sooner.

Of course, there's also a large group of people who don't believe that Batista will walk away from this much money.

Batista lives a lavish lifestyle, and it's pretty clear that he enjoys it.

Overpushed

The argument against pushing Batista in the main event is that there's a fear that wrestling fans are still tired of seeing him in the top spot.

For much of 2007, Batista was pushed in the top spot (or close to the top spot) on Smackdown.

During that time, a few wrestling fans started to grow tired of seeing him pushed constantly.

By bringing him back down a notch, WWE might actually be doing Batista a favor with the fans.

Solution

WWE reportedly gave Batista a big win over John Cena at Summerslam in an attempt to appease him.

The move did seem to make him a bit happier because there was a little more enthusiam in him during that time.

However, the momentum from the big win quickly vanished because WWE did not capitalize on it immediately afterwards.

If Batista remains frustrated with the situation, then management could give him a title match on an upcoming pay per view.

Closing Thoughts

This situation should get resolved pretty soon. It's not going to be something where Batista leaves WWE for TNA.
