Mr Kennedy Turns Face

WWE has been testing things out to see whether or not Mr Kennedy can become a babyface.
Mr Kennedy Turns Face
The babyface turn hasn't been 100% completed yet, but it does look like WWE is leaning in that direction.
When Mr Kennedy made his return to Raw (he was filming a movie), he immediately went after William Regal.
William Regal is playing the role of the evil general manager right now, and he's currently the top heel on Raw.
Putting Mr Kennedy against him was an easy way to get the audience to start supporting him.
On his second week back, Mr Kennedy was teamed up with Triple H, who just so happens to be the top babyface on Raw.
The move was obviously done to have Triple's popularity rub off on Mr Kennedy.
Playing the Field
As a babyface, there are some interesting storylines and feuds for Mr Kennedy to be involved in.
The most interesting one right now is a feud between Mr Kennedy and Randy Orton.
A feud between two arrogant young wrestlers like these two guys has potential to be the hottest midcard storyline in the entire company.
Another feud that's interesting is one between Mr Kennedy and Chris Jericho, who has been slowly turning towards the dark side.
Now that Chris Jericho has been given a lot more creative freedom, the war of words between the two would be worth the price of admission.
Another feud that would produce a good verbal battle would be one between Mr Kennedy and JBL.
A feud between Mr Kennedy and Santino Marella probably won't be that much of a priority for WWE, but for us fans, the potential greatness on the mic is beyond appealing.
Not So Fast
Since WWE hasn't fully committed to Mr Kennedy becoming a babyface, it might not be a permanent thing.
They're testing things out right now to see how the audience would react to it.
If it's not satisfactory, then they can simply have Mr Kennedy turn on Triple H in the next few weeks.
That would provide him with instant heel heat again.
It would also enable him to engage in a heated feud against the WWE Heavyweight Champion.
It's still too early for Mr Kennedy to win the belt, but a feud between the two would do wonders for his credibility.
Closing Thoughts
It'll be interesting to see which direction WWE goes with this in the coming weeks. |
