Jeff Hardy is Back

by Jack Windham
May 13, 2008

Millions of wrestling fans went to bed happy last night after seeing Jeff Hardy back on television.

Jeff Hardy is Back

After serving his 60 day drug suspension, Jeff Hardy is back on television.

On Monday Night Raw last night, fans received quite a surprise as Jeff Hardy made his way through the curtains.

Even though it was well known that his drug suspension ended over the weekend, fans still weren't sure when he was going to be allowed back on television.

Apparently, WWE didn't want to wait to bring him back.

The Push is Back

Not only is Jeff Hardy back, but it appears that his push came back with him.

Prior to being suspended for drugs, Jeff Hardy was in the midst of the biggest push of his career.

For the first time in his career, he was headlining pay per views as a singles wrestler.

While he was suspended, wrestling fans all over the world debated as to whether or not WWE would trust him enough to push him again.

His clean victory over Umaga on Monday Night Raw proved that WWE is still interested in pushing him.

Management could have created a buzz without Jeff Hardy wrestling, but they decided to anyways.

Plus, they could have chosen a random jobber or someone lower on the card for him to beat, but they chose Umaga, who is still an upper midcard heel.

A Mistake

WWE did a very smart thing on Raw by having Jeff Hardy partially discussing the events that happened.

Jeff Hardy did acknowledge that he made a mistake.

That was the smart thing to do. WWE is fully aware that their fans are internet savvy fans. They've either read about it on WWE.com or another wrestling website.

It would have been a huge mistake to not acknowledge that.

Jeff Hardy also apologized to his fans, which was a smart thing as well.

The Rainbow Haired Warrior has some of the most loyal fans in the entire business.

All he has to do is apologize, and the fans will fully accept it and embrace him again.

Some are so loyal that they'd even convince themselves that the suspension never happened.

Closing Thoughts

Hopefully, he keeps his head on straight because there's a million fans out there that are praying that he doesn't get that 3rd strike.
