Ashley Massaro's Innocence
by Jack Windham

WWE is doing the right thing right now by proclaiming that Ashley Massaro is innocent until proven guilty.
Ashley Massaro's Innocence
In America, a person is innocent until proven guilty.
Fortunately for Ashley Massaro, WWE believes in the same policy as well.
By now, WWE is fully aware of the situation that's been going on with Ashley Massaro, the FBI, and Rolling Stones.
They know full well that there are allegations toward Ashley Massaro about being a high priced escort.
WWE also knows full well that Ashley Massaro has denied the allegations.
Management must have already talked to her about the situation by now. They must also be pretty satisfied with what they've heard from her thus far.
Ashley Appearance
One of the biggest questions going into Monday Night Raw this week was whether or not Ashley Massaro would be on television.
There she was on Monday, getting involved in the WWE Women's Championship match.
Keep in mind that Vince McMahon is a big believer in the "any publicity is good publicity" theory.
Vince McMahon knows that there was going to be additional interest in Monday Night Raw this week thanks to the negative publicity that Ashley Massaro has generated.
Those that already know Ashley Massaro were going to tune in to Raw this week to see if she'll show up.
Those that don't know Ashley Massaro will tune in to see what all the fuss is about.
Guilt Free
Ashley Massaro wasn't the only person that was in trouble with the law this week from the Raw brand.
A couple of days ago, Santino Marella was arrested down in Florida after a night of heavy drinking with the developmental wrestlers.
The question mark was on him as well as to whether or not he would be used on Monday Night Raw this week.
Well, the questions were answered when he showed up to interrupt Roddy Piper during his interview on Carlito's Cabana.
Since WWE continued Santino Marella's program with the World Tag Team Champions (or at least Cody Rhodes), the DUI arrest doesn't appear to have much of an effect on his push.
WWE may still choose to not put the tag titles on Santino Marella, but it does appear as if he'll still get television time.
Closing Thoughts
Supporting Ashley Massaro was the smart move for WWE at this moment. |
