Armando Estrada Wrestling

Fans have become accustomed to him wearing fancy suits and barking orders, but now, we'll get to see Armando Estrada wrestling.
Armando Estrada Wrestling
Before you start thinking this is some weird idea that WWE is randomly throwing out there, you should know that Armando Estrada is a fully trained wrestler.
Armando Estrada has been training down in OVW since 2004.
In fact, Armando Estrada was part of a group with Daivari and Mohammed Hassan before both of those guys were called up to the Raw roster.
The ECW general also spent some time in a tag team with Cryme Tyme's Shad.
So, you see, Armando Estrada knows what he's doing in the ring.
Still in Charge
WWE will more than likely emulate the William Regal storyline when it comes to Armando Estrada.
They'll have him keeping the general manager tag for a bit. Let him abuse his powers to generate more heel heat.
After a while, then, he'll get stripped of his powers and become a regular wrestler.
Armando Estrada has a pretty big advantage over the other wrestlers on the brand in that his character is already developed.
Plus, he's really good on the mic. A lot of the credit goes to Paul Heyman, who allowed him the freedom to develop his character down in OVW.
What's Next?
Now that he's an active wrestler, it's time to take a look at the potential feuds that Armando Estrada could have in ECW.
Obviously, he's going to be engaged in a program with Colin Delaney. That should last for a couple of weeks.
A feud between Armando Estrada and CM Punk would have been interesting, but right now, management doesn't seem to know what they want to do with the Straight Edge Superstar.
With all of the things that Armando Estrada did to CM Punk while he was simply a general manager, there should be plenty for the writers to work with.
If Armando Estrada can generate some heel heat as the evil dictator, then WWE could use him to help elevate Kofi Kingston.
Kofi Kingston is on the fast track to stardom in WWE, so management is going to focus on finding good feuds for him along the way.
Going up against the evil boss could help him out. It worked for Steve Austin (of course, that was on a much larger scale).
Closing Thoughts
At the very least, this move allows a talented performer to step into the ring like he always wanted to. Plus, we get another wrestler thrown into the ECW mix. |
