Kelly Kelly to Raw

When the WWE Draft Lottery comes around, there's a good chance that Kelly Kelly could be moved over to Monday Night Raw to become the new star diva.

Kick to the Balls

Word first leaked out that Vince McMahon had pegged Kelly Kelly as a favorite to become the star diva on Monday Night Raw when the storyline involved Balls Mahoney was abruptly stopped.

Dusty Rhodes had come up with a brilliant storyline involving Balls Mahoney that far surpassed his own expectations.

The storyline also involved the Miz and Kelly Kelly. It was supposed to elevate those two, but the storyline took on a life of its own. The storyline ended up elevating Balls Mahoney.

At the time, ECW only had CM Punk as the top babyfaces. No one was even close to be the #2 babyface on the brand until the storyline came around.

Balls Mahoney had surprisingly became the #2 babyface by accident. The audience support for him forced him into that spot.

Despite the popularity of the storyline, Vince McMahon decided to end the storyline without notice.

The reason was later revealed that he wanted to make a star out of Kelly Kelly. He felt that being associated with Balls Mahoney was going to decrease her value, so he ended a successful storyline.

Rising Through Raw

It wouldn't be all that difficult for Kelly Kelly to take over the top babyface diva spot on Monday Night Raw.

Candice Michelle, who is growing a bit stale as the top babyface diva, has been struggling with injuries over the last few months.

Mickie James is still a talented in-ring performer, WWE just doesn't seem to have faith in her as the top star again.

Ashley Massaro and Maria Kanellis have both already done the Playboy thing. Combined with their limited in-ring abilities, their value isn't high enough to take over the top spot.

Beth Phoenix is basically just holding the belt until someone is ready to rise up from the ranks to take it from her.

Unless WWE surprises us with a babyface turn for Melina, there's really no other option at the moment for the division.

Extremely Empty

With Kelly Kelly's departure, there's a very good chance that there won't be much of a diva presence on the brand.

Then again, aside from random mixed tag team matches, there really hasn't been a diva presence on ECW for the last few weeks now.

That means that Layla El and Lena Yada could also be moved as well during the WWE Draft Lottery.

Closing Thoughts

If and when this move happens, it won't be a surprise since it's been expected for months now.
