Triple H to Induct Ric Flair Into the WWE Hall of Fame
by Jack Windham
March 23, 2008
Triple H will receive the honor of inducting Ric Flair into the WWE Hall of Fame next month.
What About Arn?
The first thing that comes to mind with this announcement is Arn Anderson.
For those that have followed Ric Flair's career since the 1980s, the two have always been connected.
Arn Anderson and Ric Flair have been involved in numerous classic interviews together. They've also been involved in countless sneak attacks on other wrestlers.
The relationship between the two stretched way further than the Four Horsemen. These two guys are real life friends.
Behind the scenes, Arn Anderson and Ric Flair have closed the bar at just about every major city in the United States of America.
A lot of wrestling fans would love to see Arn Anderson being the man to induct Ric Flair.
Just the speech alone that Arn Anderson would have given would have been worth the price of admission to the Hall of Fame.
If Arn Anderson just went up to the podium without any time to prepare, he would still be able to give the best induction speech mankind has ever heard before.
With that in mind, Triple H has some pretty big shoes to fill.
Great Choice
Triple H might not be a popular choice, but when you take the time to think things out, you'll realize that the King of Kings is a great choice.
The relationship between Ric Flair and Triple H has grown tremendously over the last few years.
The two have grown to be as close as family.
In fact, many say that their relationship is actually closer than the relationship between Ric Flair and Arn Anderson.
What makes Triple H a great choice, though, goes far beyond his friendship with Ric Flair.
When Triple H says that he's the biggest Ric Flair fan in the world, he truly means it.
Triple H grew up watching Ric Flair. He idolized him and even patterned his own style after the Nature Boy.
If you've seen some of Triple H's early work in WCW, you'll definitely see a resemblance in style. He was basically a clone of Ric Flair.
For Triple H, this has to be one of the biggest moments of his life. Knowing him, he's probably already started working on the induction speech that he's going to be giving.
Closing Thoughts
After we got over the fact that Arn Anderson wasn't going to be inducting Ric Flair, we started to accept the fact that Triple H isn't necessarily a bad choice. |
