Bring in Raven to Join Jeff Hardy

There's an interesting idea being floated around right now about bringing in Raven to add to Jeff Hardy's character.
Real Life Storyline
By now, everyone knows that Jeff Hardy was suspended for violating the WWE drug testing program again.
In the past, they've been known to take real life situations and turn it into storylines.
They did it when Road Warrior Hawk was going through his battles with alcohol.. They also did it when Edge and Lita began their affair.
Vince McMahon has no aversion towards turning something into a storyline if it'll benefit him and his company.
Remember how Vince McMahon turned himself into a huge heel after the Montreal Screw Job?
He can use the same type of heel turn here to take advantage of the audience's emotions.
Flocking to Raven
The idea being floated around right now is to have Jeff Hardy slowly turning evil upon his return.
The majority of wrestling fans have access to the internet and are fully aware that Jeff Hardy was suspended for drugs.
There's still a handful of fans who are in denial about the entire situation, but even they are starting to accept that Jeff Hardy isn't completely clean.
After a few weeks go by, WWE can then reveal that the source behind Jeff Hardy's evilness is none other than Raven himself.
If there's anyone in the business that has enough mic skills to turn Jeff Hardy into a heel, it's Raven.
Strong Support
The biggest concern about turning Jeff Hardy into a heel is that his merchandise sales and fan support will go down.
WWE shouldn't worry too much about this because Jeff Hardy has perhaps the most loyal fanbase out of all the wrestlers.
They'll continue to support him no matter what.
This new heel turn could end up giving Jeff Hardy's character an edge (and perhaps some brand new merchandise as well).
WWE can even create a brand new stable for Raven and Jeff Hardy. A new Flock that could also include the fans.
Just picture the sight of Jeff Hardy and Raven sitting in the audience during a pay per view. That right there would create a huge buzz in the industry again.
Closing Thoughts
It's an interesting idea that has potential to turn Jeff Hardy into a main event level heel that we never thought he could become. |
