Chris Jericho: "I'm Definitely Enjoying It More This Time."

In a recent interview, Chris Jericho informed the wrestling world that he's definitely enjoying his second run with WWE a lot more than the first time around.
His Words
Chris Jericho recently gave a candid interview to Between the Ropes.
This is what he had to say recently about his return to wrestling.
"I’m definitely enjoying it more this time. I started wrestling at 19 and wrestling was my life for so long. Coming back after the break and kind of clearing my mind and working on some of the other projects that I’ve worked on and kind of having my family where it’s at right now, it seems like it’s just easier this time. The ideas come easier."
Chris Jericho also talked about how he's been treated differently this time around.
“There’s a different attitude from the company toward me, as well. I’m not saying it wasn’t good before, but the fact is there’s only so many guys on this roster who have the amount experience that I have, and have the thought process that I have. You know, that makes a big difference. I think at this point and time, the more of us around the better it is. And the more that we’re kind of listened to and our thoughts and suggestions are processed a little differently. It’s refreshing.”
Burnt Out
Based on his comments, Chris Jericho definitely was burnt out from wrestling a few years ago.
Looking back, his decision to walk away from wrestling was a wise decision. You're not really all that useful to a wrestling company if you're burnt out.
A lot of wrestling fans have a hard time understanding this because wrestling is still a dream job to them.
To the wrestlers, though, it's a job where you're constantly on the road and physically abusing your body.
The money made in wrestling can be pretty lucrative. However, the value of that money goes down the very moment you start hating your job.
We applaud Chris Jericho for being able to walk away. Same goes for Rob Van Dam, Marcus Cor Von, and Bobby Lashley.
Along with Chris Jericho, guys like Shawn Michaels, JBL, and Big Show all took time off from wrestling before coming back refreshed.
Closing Thoughts
More wrestlers need to step away from the game if they're feeling burnt out. Everyone involved would benefit from it. |
