Is Brian Kendrick Turning Heel?

After walking out on his long time tag team partner, is Brian Kendrick on the verge of going single and turning into a heel?
Brian Bails
On Monday Night Raw last week, Brian Kendrick and Paul London were scheduled in a handicap match against Umaga.
Those that have watched wrestling for a while could easily guess that the two were going to get squashed by the Samoan Bulldozer.
It's not that big of a surprise considering the duo usually wrestles only on Heat. Brian Kendrick also does the occasional singles match where he's jobbing to various stars.
Well, the match did end in a surprise. However, it wasn't a pleasant surprise where Paul London and Brian Kendrick got the surprise victory.
The surprise was that Brian Kendrick walked out on his tag team partner.
Towards the end of the match, Brian Kendrick left the ring. Paul London was left to face the wrath of Umaga all by himself.
London Leaving
There's been a lot of backstage heat on Paul London over the last year, so it wouldn't be a complete shock to us if he was on his way out of WWE.
Splitting him up from Brian Kendrick could be a way for WWE to speed up the process.
Regardless of how WWE feels about him, Paul London is a tremendous in-ring performer. He's a lot better than what we've seen out of him over the last year.
He's gifted enough and young enough to where TNA and ROH would both love to swoop him up. Paul London could even make a decent living in Japan.
Parting company could be best for both WWE and Paul London.
London vs Kendrick
If Brian Kendrick turned heel and feuded with his partner, it wouldn't be the first time that it's happened to Paul London.
In 2004, Paul London's tag team partner at the time, Billy Kidman, turned on him and the two feuded.
Coincidentally enough, Billy Kidman and Brian Kendrick both share the same initials.
Having Brian Kendrick and Paul London feuding would give the two enough momentum to where they would get a couple of matches on Monday Night Raw.
It wouldn't be enough momentum to get them on to a pay per view, though.
It also wouldn't be enough momentum for either guy to get a singles push, especially when the Raw roster is extremely stacked.
Closing Thoughts
It's a bit sad to see one of the last true legitimate tag teams in WWE being broken up. |
