TNA SIGNING PRINCE DEVITT
Even though he rejected a nice contract from WWE, Prince Devitt is still being pursued by TNA. The company feels that they are a much better fit for the international star than WWE because they can allow him a much more flexible schedule, one that would enable him to keep working in New Japan throughout the year. Devitt is said to be considering the offer.

Over the last couple of months, there have been plenty of rumors in regards to WWE signing international star Prince Devitt to a contract. Things heated up even more when he left New Japan. Things died down a bit when no announcement was made, but it looks like the rumor mills are heating up again. Reports are surfacing that the deal has now been reached, and he should be showing up to developmental soon.

Rumors have it that WWE has been signing some of the best international talent to their developmental program. Names like Kevin Steen, Prince Devitt and Kenta Kobayashi have surfaced as potential candidates to join the company later on this year. Unfortunately, though, WWE will not be bringing in Sarita, long considered one of the best international female performers in the business. She received a tryout with the company back in March but no contract has been offered.

Since his name is no longer being discussed as a potential addition to the developmental program, the belief is that the flirtation between WWE and Prince Devitt has come to an end. The company made a contract offer to Devitt, which included a shortened stint in WWE NXT, but the New Japan star felt like it was not enough for him to leave his current situation.

When Impact Wrestling was being filmed in Europe recently, Prince Devitt visited backstage and actually had some discussions with management about a potential contract. It turns out that he was only extending professional courtesy towards Dixie Carter by listening to the offer. He is not willing to leave New Japan to sign with TNA.

The company has done something rare in that they are offering him a deal that does not require him to spend a lot of time in developmental. A similar deal was given to Sin Cara, as the masked performer felt that being in developmental was beneath someone of his stature.
