TNA REMOVES AJ STYLES FAREWELL SPEECH

In a rather interesting move, TNA opted not to show the farewell speech from AJ Styles on Impact Wrestling last night. He had initially thanked the fans for their support and wished everyone well. The company still continues to negotiate a new deal with Styles.

While he has some resentment towards the company for letting him away, the door has not yet been completely closed on AJ Styles making a return to TNA next year. He enjoys working in Japan but would much rather be closer to his family at all times. Once Impact Wrestling secures a new home and the company can afford to hand out big contracts again, Styles could be one of the names brought back.

In a rather interesting move, AJ Styles has decided to emphasize a post from Twitter, where a fan criticized him for being too demanding during contract negotiations and walking out on TNA. The fan noted that Impact Wrestling drew in good crowds in Europe. He also went as far as to instruct Styles to keep working "shitty ROH shows".

Through social media, Gene Snitsky has expressed his dissatisfaction with TNA for not bringing him on board full time. He did a couple of segments on Impact Wrestling this summer, but management has opted to remain fiscally responsible, as they are still trying to secure a new television contract. The company is expected to start signing wrestlers are that happens.

Reports have surfaced that TNA will announce their new television deal before the end of October. It is being said that Dixie Carter has informed business partners that an announcement is coming soon, in hopes of alleviating some of the concerns that they currently have with Impact Wrestling. Back in June, Brodus Clay was given a release by WWE, so he informed his fans that his professional wrestling career was far from over. After exploring his options in Japan, the former bodyguard for Snoop Dogg decided to remain stateside by signing with TNA. He made his television debut for the company this week on Impact Wrestling by aligning himself with Ethan Carter and defeating Shark Boy in a match.

While there are natural concerns over the company stability, a lot of the wrestlers are rumored to feel a bit relieved due to the fact that Dixie Carter and her staff are continuing to expand TNA into other countries. Impact Wrestling can now be seen in 125 countries, and there are talks that Carter is hoping to increase that number still. The focal point right now for expansion is on Asia.

It has now been revealed by the company that they have signed new television contracts that will enable them to gain viewers in Malaysia and Singapore. That led to some speculations from fans as to whether or not it is a story line. Unfortunately, the injury is a legitimate one. Joe has been having some problems with his shoulders. He might still try to work through the pain and perform at Bound For Glory 2014, though.

Congratulations to Mickie James and Brutus Magnus. They're now parents to a new baby boy named Donovan Patrick Aldis. Mickie has been on a hiatus since becoming pregnant, only making sporadic appearances during the beginning. Magnus is expected to still be on the road with TNA, but that schedule is a bit easier now that the company is taping Impact Wrestling in advance.

However, at the last minute, Country Music Television has emerged as a strong candidate to land the weekly TNA show. The network is under the same corporate umbrella as their current home, Spike. CMT is available in close to 100 million homes.

During a recent interview, Vince Russo bashed Spike TV a bit because he felt that they did not do enough to promote Impact Wrestling for TNA. David Schwarz, who happens to be the Senior Vice President of Communications for the network, decided to respond by saying that Spike has helped to finance a lot of the moves by TNA. He also noted that Impact Wrestling was given a prime 2 hour spot on Thursday night. The most interesting comment, however, is that Schwarz flat out stated that no one at Spike cares whatsoever about Russo.

The reign was ended this week when Hiroshi Tanahashi recaptured the title that was initially taken from him by Styles. While she did praise him as a model employee, Carter also goes on to state that she feels that Styles made a mistake by not accepting the contract. While the negotiation continues between the two sides, the belief is that Bully Ray and TNA are far apart on the financial terms. Management wants to keep their former world heavyweight champion around because he is quite the asset to the roster. However, they are limited in what they can pay him, much like how they had to let AJ Styles leave. Since neither side is willing to budge, it looks like the relationship could be over soon.

An interesting story line took place in New Japan this week. After AJ Styles lost to Hiroshi Tanahashi, the Bullet Club proceeded to attack Tanahashi. Jeff Jarrett, who was actually in town to sign a promotional contract with NJPW, made the save. However, when Scott D'Amore opened up the guitar case, it was painted with the Bullet Club sign. Jarrett then attacked Tanahashi before posing with the rest of the Bullet Club.

Days after winning the IWGP Heavyweight Championship from Kazuchika Okada, AJ Styles hopped on a plane and headed back to the United States. The former TNA star revealed on Twitter that he made it home just in time to watch his son in a championship baseball game, which they won, by the way. Styles should be heading back to Japan soon.

In one of the biggest international stories of the year, AJ Styles has captured the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. He defeated Kazuchika Okada when Yujiro Takahashi turned on Okada and helped Styles. Takahashi is now a member of the Bullet Club. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows played provided interference to help Styles become the top guy in New Japan.

Since they're now one of the most popular acts in all of Japan, the Bullet Club has been booked for a couple of shows with Ring of Honor. In May, ROH will be featuring AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows at their live events in Toronto and New York City. The trio are just doing guest stints, as they still intend to fully return overseas to finish out their contracts.

While the company has recently suffered the loss of AJ Styles and Chris Sabin, it appears that TNA has been able to retain one of their longtime stars. James Storm has signed a new multiple year deal to stick around. The former world heavyweight champion is expected to be given a nice push after he finishes up his program with Gunner.
