There are some talks within WWE of turning Sheamus into a heel again, as management feels that it might be something that can give his character a slight boost. He has not exactly made a huge splash since he returned, despite being given ample television and pay per view time.

Apparently, Sheamus is actually injured. Many were under the impression that the former world heavyweight champion was only doing a story line for television, but he posted a photo of himself on Twitter, going in for surgery. It does not appear to be extremely serious. The belief is that Sheamus is going on to repair several minor ailments that have been bugging him. He is expected to miss some time from WWE.

As many fans already know, WWE has run out of opponents for Bray Wyatt, so he has slipped down the ladder tremendously over the last couple of weeks. Sheamus has long been a rumored opponent for Wyatt, and it looks like that feud may be happening soon. Management has had the two of them working together at live events, and the belief is that it will be brought to television soon.

After taking a little bit of time off the road and in Europe, Sheamus is now back with WWE. While he was not utilized on Monday Night Raw, he did work a match at the taping for WWE Superstars. The former world heavyweight champion was also kept off of Smackdown as well. Sheamus is currently on the tour of Australia with the rest of the WWE crew and should be back on television soon.

Even though he is the current reigning United States Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus has not been given an actual feud to work with. While there are speculations going around that he is upset with WWE for not giving him an official program, those backstage are saying that he is fine with things for now. Management continues to utilize him on television each week, and he more often than not is given a spot on the pay per view events.

Earlier in the year, WWE had plans on doing a heel turn for Sheamus, in order to bring a little more life back into his stale character. The company even attempted the move on television, but it was botched and the majority of fans did not realize that it had taken place. Rumors going around now is that WWE has completely scrapped the idea. Sheamus will continue to work as a baby face US champion until they can decide on something for him to do.

There have been sparse rumors over the last year that WWE was going to do a heel turn with the Miz, and it looks like that might be happening soon. While working a live event in Wisconsin over the weekend, Miz did a match against Sheamus. The former world heavyweight champion even cut a heel promo, which is viewed by many as practice before doing it on television.

Even though he has been kept off of television recently because of complications from a concussion, Christian is being advertised for the upcoming tour of Europe. Right now, WWE has him scheduled for matches against Sheamus. The belief within the industry is that the company will have him removed because he has yet to be cleared by the medical staff.

Now that their long anticipated television deal with Destination America has been signed and sealed, Dixie Carter and the TNA management team will now shift their focus towards securing a television contract to continue airing Impact Wrestling in Canada. A deal seems imminent, as the company sounds highly confident in their ongoing negotiations with networks north of the border.

When you sign a developmental contract with WWE, more often than not, you're going to be spending a good amount of time in training and not on television. Of course, when you have the experience that Kevin Steen has, the wait is a lot shorter. The former ROH Heavyweight Champion, who is now going by the name of Kevin Owens, is scheduled to make his debut on December 11, 2014 at the Takeover: R Evolution event.

In what became a running joke, the New Day stable, which consists of Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston, kept being delayed by WWE. The trio worked live events together, but they were not utilized on television. Reports have surfaced that the reason why management held off on their push was because of the situation taking place in Ferguson, where a white cop killed a black teenager. The company did not want anything that can be construed as racial on their programming, so the group had to wait.

Now that the television deal is signed and sealed, Dixie Carter and her staff will be focusing on offering contracts to performers, both in house and free agents. TNA had allowed several of their starts to depart because they did not want to sign long term deals without knowing if they will remain on the air. It may become a bit of a race, as other employment options have sprung up for wrestlers over the last couple of months.

While their new television contract with Destination America does not start until 2015, there are talks that TNA could start filming episodes of Impact Wrestling again in December. Initially, Dixie Carter had planned to do taping at the Manhattan Center in January, but those will now more than likely be canceled. The company would then film episodes in England during their annual tour of the country.

Some further details have been released about the return of Chris Jericho to WWE in January. In order to main his character's popularity, the former world heavyweight champion prefers to not be shown on television. Jericho wants to work live events, where he can still experience the thrill of entertaining an audience and be a marketing asset at the same time. An appearance at Royal Rumble 2015 is still a possibility.

Reports have surfaced that both Ross and Jeff Jarrett were leaning towards adding Mike Tenay to the team. However, there might be some complications with that, as TNA has just secured themselves a new television deal.

Someone in the WWE front office has not been paying attention to the story lines. On Monday Night Raw, Jack Swagger was injured by the Authority and removed from Survivor Series 2015. However, when the show runners needed someone to work against Bray Wyatt on Main Event this week, they accidentally chose Swagger as the opponent, not realizing that he should be kept off of television for a couple of weeks.

Over the last couple of weeks, fans have noticed that Fandango has been absent from WWE television shows. That naturally lead to some rumors about his release. The dancing star is just fine. Fandango revealed that he has modified his gimmick a bit and will be making his return at the Survivor Series 2014 kickoff show. His character will also be picking up Rosa Mendes as his new valet.

The former world heavyweight champion hinted that both companies have television deals. The belief is that one of those deals will enable him to work Lucha Underground and AAA. WGN has announced that they have ordered the first season of Outlaw Country, which is being produced by Bischoff and longtime business partner Jason Hervey. The surprising face turn for Erick Rowan recently left fans a bit confused, as there had been no signs of that happening. The reason for that is simply because WWE did not have it planned out. After Monday Night Raw went off the air, WWE Network subscribers were treated to a bonus match. Alexander Rusev challenged Sheamus for the United States Heavyweight Championship, a match which was originally planned for Survivor Series 2014. The Russian heel ended up winning the title after Sheamus passed out from the Camel Clutch submission. No word yet on why WWE opted to do the match earlier than scheduled.

With only two matches confirmed for Hell in a Cell 2014, WWE is looking at building the under card with some filler matches. One of the top candidates is a bout between Sheamus and Miz. Management is leaning towards definitely doing that match because they need to build up Sheamus, so that he can be placed into a feud with Alexander Rusev next month.

In a sign of how rapidly Alexander Rusev is rising through the ranks, management now has him penciled in a high profile match at Wrestlemania 31 against John Cena. The Russian loyalist is expected to be built up in upcoming matches against Big Show and possibly Sheamus before starting his feud with Cena. The early bet is that Cena will be the one to end the reign of terror by Rusev.

Fortunately for the company, Chris Jericho agreed to return and help keep Wyatt interesting. Their feud is about to end, so the question has popped up again. Since neither man was involved in a feud, it looks like WWE is about to pair Antonio Cesaro and Sheamus in a feud for the United States Heavyweight Championship. The story between the two might have been initiated during WWE Main Event. Management has been known to drop stories abruptly, so if this does not make it to Monday Night Raw or Smackdown, then the feud is not going forward.

As expected, WWE has instructed their performers to remain silent if they are asked about the backstage incident that led to the release of Alberto Del Rio. When asked by the media, Sheamus explicitly stated that he knew nothing of the situation, even though most everyone in the company is aware of what happened. Management does not want to run the risk of starting a legal battle with Del Rio.

While there are still discussions on a title unification program, there are now people backstage in WWE that are pushing for Sheamus to drop the United States Heavyweight Championship to Alexander Rusev. Some feel that it would give he and Lana a bit more heel heat. Plus, they can stall his push a bit by having him defend the belt against lower level opponents.

There are some interesting rumors floating around right now that Sheamus could be cast to portray Darth Vader in the upcoming Star Wars movie. A publication in Ireland is even running with the story. It has been noted that Sheamus has portrayed the character before during promotional tours, which more than likely took place before he became a WWE star. Sheamus himself has mentioned the rumor on his Twitter account and even teased that it might be true.

There are still plans being discussed backstage in WWE to unify the United States Heavyweight Championship and the Intercontinental Championship in the near future. If management decides to go through with it, then Miz is the more likely candidate to hold the unified belt because he has a lot more momentum than Sheamus at this point in time.

Alexander Rusev is posing a considerable problem for the WWE creative department nowadays. The staff was instructed to push him up the ladder, but they are now running out of options. His program with Jack Swagger has either ended or will end soon. Rusev cannot be placed into a program with someone lower on the card, and it's too soon for him to work against John Cena. Sheamus has been named as a possible opponent to help Rusev kill time.

Those that watched Monday Night Raw this week may have noticed that Sheamus was not in attendance. The former WWE champion will also not be appearing on the next episode of Smackdown, either. That's because the Irish star has been taken off of the road due to a severe flu. The illness is probably quite bad since Sheamus has been known to work through injuries before.

That has led to rumors of a title unification match taking place at Summerslam 2014. The belief is that WWE really wants to stack up this pay per view to build momentum for the upcoming subscription rush for the WWE Network.
