While doing a podcast interview with Jim Ross, Kurt Angle revealed some very interest details on his contract situation. The former world heavyweight champion noted that his deal with TNA expires on September 21. Dixie Carter wants him to stick around and has put a new contract on the table. Angle revealed that he has yet to sign it because he wants to keep his options open. His next contract will be his last in wrestling, so he wants to see if WWE would be willing to give him a final run.

Where there's smoke, there's usually fire. Rumors have persisted for quite some time now that there is still backstage heat towards Jim Ross in WWE. There is some new evidence to support that claim. Ross recently revealed that the company has not approved any of their performers to be a guest on his podcast show, where Steve Austin and Chris Jericho have had plenty of WWE personnel, including Triple H himself, doing interviews for them.

Rumors are heating up that Jim Ross and CM Punk are going to head to New Japan to work together as commentators. Those were actually started by Ross himself, as the former WWE commentator simply speculated on the possibility during his podcast show. As of right now, there have been no negotiations, and Ross himself has stated that he has yet to talk to Punk about the idea.

He is having trouble finding help to resolve the issue, which started a couple of days ago. During a recent podcast interview with Jim Ross, Kurt Angle confirmed the longstanding rumors that he and Brock Lesnar got into a backstage fight when both were with WWE. Angle stated that he initiated the brawl with Lesnar because Lesnar was telling the other wrestlers that Angle was too small for him to wrestle. The incident was more of an amateur wrestling match than a fist fight.
