JAMES STORM DISCUSSES CHRIS HARRIS FAILURE IN WWE

"I believe Chris brought it onto himself. I talked to him while he was there. Anytime you go up there, they're going to test you, to see if you have an attitude or whatever. And I just heard he failed miserably. He had an attitude while he was up there and you can't do that. You just go up there and you do what they ask of you the best you can, and sooner or later, they'll find a spot for you and do something with you. Just because he had a good run here, he expected to go up there and have a run, and that's not so."

While they both have now established themselves as singles stars, there are talks backstage in TNA of doing a Beer Money reunion. The hope would be that James Storm and Bobby Roode can remain relevant while carrying the tag team division once again. It would help fill the void that is being left by the potential departures of Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian.

At TNA Lockdown 2014, James Storm and Gunner put on a tremendous show inside of the steel cage. While they were both praised backstage for the match itself, both are receiving individual praises as well. James Storm is being lauded for making his opponent look like a million bucks, while Gunner is receiving words of encouragement because he is starting to look like a star.

Another person that TNA wants to push to the main event scene soon is Gunner. Many backstage feel that he can be elevated enough to be viewed as a worthy challenger for Brutus Magnus and the world title. The success of his story line with James Storm should help dictate that.

January 20, 2014

"It's hard to compare Gunner to either one of those guys just because I was in a tag team with those guys a much longer time. Me and Chris were basically unknowns coming up through the ranks trying to make a name for ourselves and as far as me and Bobby we were already established and we just kind of clicked together. It took us 6-8 months together to finally click but we did and we made a good run out of it. With me and Gunner, it's one of those things that I don't think we've been a tag team long enough to start describing us against my former partners."

January 15, 2014

"The people. Jeff Jarrett was here a long time, and also (TNA President) Dixie Carter. She's a great boss, very family oriented, and she listens to the wrestlers. We can go to her and talk if we have a problem, which is very cool. TNA was very loyal to me when I had the opportunity to do other things. Honestly, that's above my pay grade, but Dixie Carter always looks after her wrestlers and does what's best for the company. It's not just wrestlers' job, it's hers too."

"To me, Jeff knows wrestling. They need somebody like that either in the production side or the creative side . . . because, let's face it, he built this company. It was his hard work and his money that he put into it in the very beginning. I think TNA needs Jeff Jarrett, whether it be behind the scenes or in front of the camera or whatever, but they definitely need him—at least for his advice on the wrestling aspect of it."

December 28, 2013

"I told him, 'If you guys want to make this as real as possible, is it OK if I just kind of put it in my own words?' And he was like, 'Yeah, whatever you think is going to make it best is what I want you to do.' It's good for a lot of guys who can't come up with their own material to have that script that they can go off of and read the whole thing and memorize it and all that. But for me, I just want bullet points that I can put into my own words and make it me—make it true. People can spot a fake. They know when somebody's trying too hard."

If Jeff Jarrett wants Global Force Wrestling to do well right off the bat, then he's going to need some familiar faces on the show. Though he has been gone from WWE for quite some time now, John Morrison remains a familiar face with wrestling fans. The two of them are booked for a match against one another at an independent wrestling show on December 6, and Morrison has acknowledged that they will be discussing some business backstage.

Rumors were floating around that Nick Dinsmore was given a release by WWE because of backstage politics as opposed to budget cost. Those rumors are gaining steam right now because the company is reportedly interested in hiring Adam Pearce as his replacement. The former NWA champion has been spotted at the performance center a couple of times already this month.

Now that their contracts with TNA have officially expired, there has been some contact between Team 3D and WWE. The two sides are discussing a potential return to the company. The move may come as a shock to certain fans because there was a widespread belief that Bully Ray and Devon were never going to be able to work in WWE ever again due to backstage heat. That apparently is not the case.
October 17, 2014
While the backstage heat between the two sides remains at a pretty high level, it does not appear that WWE will be giving a release to Rey Mysterio any time soon. Management has started to accept that the former world heavyweight champion will not be returning to work anytime soon, but they will not let him out of his contract to help another promotion out. WWE would rather just keep him on the sidelines for the time being, especially since Mysterio has reportedly stopped cashing in their checks.
October 15, 2014
Anyone that has watched WWE routinely over the last year has heard the audience chanting for CM Punk, who walked away from the company due to backstage heat with management. Those chants are especially loud whenever AJ Lee, his real life wife, is in the ring. During recently live events, Paige has decided to turn the tables around on the fans by actually responding to the chants. She reminds the audience that it is actually AJ in the ring and not Punk.

When Justin Roberts was given his release from WWE after Monday Night Raw ended, there were a good amount of people who were upset with the company for dropping him unceremoniously. Overwhelmed by the support, the announcer went online and asked fans not to be angry. He stated that he was able to live out his dream for several years. Roberts was one of the more well liked guys backstage because of his passion and enthusiasm for the business.
October 15, 2014
Shortly after he worked Monday Night Raw this week, WWE announced that they have decided to release Justin Roberts after a dozen years o service because they did not want to sign him to another contract. No word yet on why management is letting him go, but the news is probably not well received backstage since Roberts was viewed as one of the biggest wrestling fans in the company.
October 14, 2014
There were some backstage jokes at Bound For Glory 2014 that Mike Tenay was the agent for Kaz Hayashi. The two of them formed a bit of a bond when they were working in WCW together. When Wrestle-1 officials were trying to decide who to throw into the triple threat match with Low Ki and Samoa Joe, it was Tenay that convinced them to go with Hayashi. Japanese officials were said to be quite impressed that Tenay even knew who Hayashi was.

When reports surfaced that Nick Dinsmore was being released by WWE as a trainer, the belief was that it was for budgetary reasons. However, there are now rumors floating around that Dinsmore might have been the victim of backstage politics. No confirmation on the two different factions at odds, but word is that Dinsmore was on the wrong side of that battle.
October 10, 2014
While Stephanie McMahon recently took a jab at CM Punk on Monday Night Raw, WWE is doing their best to show restraint. There is a fear backstage that if they are overly criticial of the former world heavyweight champion, then it might motivate him to gain revenge by working for a competing company. With word that TNA is interested in Punk, it would not be a surprise if WWE kept quiet about him for the foreseeable future.
October 9, 2014
Management dedicates a lot of their creativity to events such as Royal Rumble 2015. With Randy Orton being penciled in for a baby face turn and a push, there are discussions going on backstage about having him do that at during the big battle royal. A potential story would have the former world heavyweight champion rebelling against the Authority and their wish to have Seth Rollins winning the match.
October 9, 2014
The backstage heat between Rey Mysterio and WWE continues to grow. The latest incident to add fuel to the fire took place recently when the popular masked performer showed up backstage at a Lucha Underground event, which is being funded by AAA. Photos of the visit surfaced on social media, but they were quickly taken down, in order to avoid legal ramifications for Mysterio.

Reports have surfaced about a rather interesting real life relationship backstage in WWE. Rosa Mendes was said to have been dating Michael Hayes for a period of time. Former wrestlers have alluded to the seemingly inappropriate relationship in the past, but the names were withheld. Word going around is that Hayes was quite the advocate in getting Rosa on Total Divas. The two are said to be broken up now.

Last month, rumors and speculations began spreading about the backstage relationship between Michael Elgin and Ring of Honor. Apparently, things have taken a turn for the worst. Elgin has publicly stated that he is no longer with ROH. Apparently, he is upset with management for spreading lies about his situation, even though he is grateful that they helped him return to the United States.

Since walking out on WWE earlier in the year, CM Punk has not really been involved with professional wrestling. However, he decided to end the sabbatical recently, in order to support a very close friend. Cliff Compton, who formerly worked as Domino in WWE, was scheduled to win the OVW heavyweight championship, so Punk decided to attend the show backstage and support his buddy.
October 7, 2014
In a rather interesting move, Tajiri turned heel during a Wrestle-1 event this week. The decision is noteworthy because he is still scheduled to team up with the Great Muta as a baby face team during Bound For Glory 2014 in a match against James Storm and Seiya Sanada. No word yet on how TNA will handle the situation, but it could just be avoided since most American fans are not regular viewers of Japanese wrestling.
October 9, 2014
While the entire card is far from being finalized, TNA has revealed two matches that will definitely be taking place at the pay per view. In the first match, Samoa Joe, Low Ki and former WCW star Kaz Hayashi will be battling in a triple threat match for the X Division Championship. Seiya Sanada will be teaming with his new on screen mentor James Storm to take on his real life mentor Great Muta and Tajiri.

During a recent blog post, Jim Ross was asked what WWE needed to do in order to fix their product. The legendary commentator said that they simply needed to put on a better show and utilize their talents better. He praised Dolph Ziggler as a performer who needed to be push. Then, without solicitation, he praised James Storm and Bobby Roode of TNA.

In approximately two years, TNA has reduced the amount of contracted performers by nearly half, going from 60 to 33 during that stretch of time. Dixie Carter and company have been forced to allow performers to leave whenever their contracts expire because they need to become fiscally responsible if they wish to remain in business. Rumor has it that only Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Bully Ray, Samoa Joe, Abyss, James Storm, Bobby Roode and Mr Anderson have big salaries.

Since James Storm and Gunner are heading over to England this weekend to work a big anniversary show over there, Kurt Angle has been added to the TNA live events this upcoming weekend in Wisconsin. Internally, TNA is hoping that they can build up Gunner over the next several months, so that he can become a title challenger for Brutus Magnus and the world heavyweight championship. His program with James Storm and fantastic match at TNA Lockdown 2014 helped increase his credibility in the eyes of the fans. Management will be doing more of that as well.
