Rumors have it that another reason why TNA gave the world heavyweight championship to Eric Young was to keep him from joining Jeff Jarrett in Global Force Wrestling. Young and Jarrett have a long history together, and they remain on very good terms. Since he is a very good worker and well liked backstage, TNA would much rather he stay with them long term.

Thus far, the TNA Hall of Fame consists of Sting and Kurt Angle, two of the more prolific performers in the history of the industry. A third member is set to join them. At Slammiversary 2014, Angle will be on hand to announce who the latest inductee will be. No official word on who the third person was going to be, but there are heavy rumors that Jeff Jarrett could be inducted as part of his departure agreement with TNA.

During a recent interview, Eric Bischoff revealed that Hulk Hogan did not take too well to the idea of the nWo when it was first presented to him by the former president of WCW. Hogan was adamant against turning heel because he felt that it would destroy his brand. Bischoff eventually convinced him to take the chance, and it ended up being one of the best stories in wrestling history.

Jimmy Suzuki is the guy playing a big role on deciding the card for Bound For Glory 2014. He recently made a comment about there possibly not being enough room for a Knockouts match, and that drew the ire of TNA fans. They stated that he was hospitalized and will be back with the company soon. Some further information is being leaked about the situation that caused Alberto Del Rio to be given a release by WWE. Cody Barbierri, the employee that was allegedly slapped by Del Rio, apparently has a history of saying derogatory things towards the wrestlers. Reports are surfacing that he has gotten away with things in the past because he is backed by Stephanie McMahon. This would explain why a good amount of wrestlers backed Del Rio when he left the company.

He was recently spotted on vacation in Mexico after spending time with his family in Hawaii. Despite his long history of injuries, Vince McMahon still wants Mysterio back, and he even activated a clause in his contract that immediately extended the deal. As of right now, WWE is on pace to lose approximately $52 million, most of which is due to the WWE Network. That amount is the second biggest loss by a wrestling company in history. WCW dropped $62 milloin one year.

With WWE needing all of their stars for the tour of Europe, the company decided to send a retired performer to Malaysia on a promotional tour instead. Ricky Steamboat, one of the most beloved stars in the history of WWE, flew overseas and promoted the October tour, which will feature two shows. The company has not been back in the country since 2002.

Today is a sad one for professional wrestling fans. It marks the third year anniversary of the death of Randy Savage, one of the biggest legends in WWE history. The former Intercontinental Champion passed away after suffering a heart attack and crashing into a tree while driving. Much like before his death, fans have been begging WWE to induct him into the hall of fame.

The two had a history of backstage heat towards one another because of how Bischoff treated Austin when the two of them were working in WCW together. It appears that the relationship has been mended.

Some buzz was created earlier this week when it was discovered that Jeff Jarrett was meeting with ROH officials. Reports have now surfaced that the two sides discussed doing talent exchanges for various shows. Jarrett also wanted Ring of Honor to loosen up their contractual clause that prevents their performers from appearing on television and pay per view for other promotions, as he is interested in utilizing ROH performers on that big New Japan pay per view in January.

An interesting story line took place in New Japan this week. After AJ Styles lost to Hiroshi Tanahashi, the Bullet Club proceeded to attack Tanahashi. Jeff Jarrett, who was actually in town to sign a promotional contract with NJPW, made the save. However, when Scott D'Amore opened up the guitar case, it was painted with the Bullet Club sign. Jarrett then attacked Tanahashi before posing with the rest of the Bullet Club.
