CESARO AND HEYMAN SPLIT
A lot of wrestling fans were a bit confused on Monday Night Raw this week when it was revealed that Paul Heyman and Antonio Cesaro are no longer together. The reason for the abrupt split is because WWE wants Heyman to be associated only with Brock Lesnar, who is rumored to be returning as soon as the night after WWE Battleground 2014. The former UFC champion is rumored to be on the receiving end of a huge push in the coming months.

A lot of fans have noticed that Antonio Cesaro has been coming out to the ring in silence since joining up with Paul Heyman. While it has generated a little buzz for WWE, that is not the long term plan. Management is currently trying to find the right entrance theme for Cesaro. He is being given a huge push, so everything has to be just right.

As of right now, there are plans backstage to give Antonio Cesaro a huge push. Pairing him with a great talker like Paul Heyman was the start of that. There are even those in WWE that are pushing for Cesaro to be pushed high enough over the next year, so that he can be thrown into a match against Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 31, where Heyman would play a pivotal role in the story.

There are speculations right now that Rosa Mendes could be on the receiving end of a push from WWE. She recently stated in an interview that she has never won a singles match via pin fall on television before. The belief is that she is planting the seeds for an underdog story line. Rosa chasing the championship could be a focal point on Total Divas.

There is a little bit of a dilemma backstage in WWE right now when it comes to the Roman Reigns push. Management does not want to put the title on him just yet because they feel that it would be more effective to let him do it at Wrestlemania 31. However, he has gone pretty high up the card already, as Randy Orton is near the top of the ladder. Management will have to figure out what to do with him over the next several months.

While management has seemingly given up on the Bo Dallas push, they do not appear to be in a rush to give him a release just yet. The belief is that WWE will keep him around for the time being and utilize him as a roster filler. Dallas is considered a good employee who shows up to work and does not cause trouble backstage. Another push seems to be out of the question, though.

Since he still has some backstage stroke, Batista is said to be using his political powers in an attempt to get WWE to push Titus ONeil, whom he calls a very close friend of his. The former world heavyweight champion has even publicly stated that he would be more than willing to be the person to elevate ONeil should the company decide to go that route.

Rumors have surfaced that Vince McMahon and company have given up on Bo Dallas. They do not view him as someone that will be a major asset to WWE. With his push being derailed on television, these rumors appear to lean closer to fact than fiction. Dallas had his push taken away almost immediately the last time he was on the main roster, so there are those that believe that this might be his final chance.

A little buzz was created this week when Dolph Ziggler defeated Randy Orton in the main event of a WWE live event. A lot of fans believed that this would be the start of a push for the former world heavyweight champion. However, that does not appear to be the case. Ziggler was simply substituting for Roman Reigns, who was on another tour. WWE usually lets the baby face win the final match of the night to send the live audience home happy.

Now that he has been given his release from WWE, Evan Bourne is opening up about allegations about his drug use backstage. The high flyer admitted that he did smoke marijuana. he also revealed that he failed the drug test because of synthetic marijuana. Bourne stated that he has apologized to Kofi Kingston, who he was teaming with at the time, for ruining their push.

On Monday Night Raw this week, fans witnessed Mark Henry making his return and attacking Damien Sandow. The belief is that he will be given a slight push from WWE, so that he can be utilized in an upcoming feud with Alexander Rusev, who desperately needs people to work against after he is done with Jack Swagger. Beating a performer as big as Henry should help further establish Rusev as a top level heel.

WWE has announced that Dolph Ziggler will be challenging the Miz at Summerslam 2014 for the Intercontinental Championship. While his popularity remains pretty strong, this is not a push for Ziggler. Management simply needed a mid card baby face to put over Miz. A title change is not expected to take place, as the company wants to see how far this Hollywood character can go.

Some bad news for fans who were upset with WWE giving Batista a big push upon his return. When he comes back around again, his push could be much bigger than the previous one. The former world heavyweight champion has gained even more name value since Guardians of the Galaxy is set to break a couple of records at the box office. A title reign for Batista is not out of the question.

Word going around right now is that Alberto Del Rio is not as vocal as he used to be backstage. In the past, he was known to be outwardly upset whenever WWE did not push him properly. Nowadays, though, it appears that he is content with just being there and collecting nice paychecks. He is not as adamant about being in the main event scene as before. The belief backstage is that Del Rio will leave the company sooner than later.

Even though the move was done at the last minute, the baby face turn for Jack Swagger has turned out a lot better than WWE had expected. Officials backstage are impressed with the audience reaction to the now patriotic character. A lot of that has to do with the heat that Lana and Alexander Rusev have generated. However, management will more than likely give a push to Swagger to see if the momentum can carry on.

While there are still discussions on a title unification program, there are now people backstage in WWE that are pushing for Sheamus to drop the United States Heavyweight Championship to Alexander Rusev. Some feel that it would give he and Lana a bit more heel heat. Plus, they can stall his push a bit by having him defend the belt against lower level opponents.

Since he has shown a willingness to not only do what is asked of him but to actually put in great effort in doing so, Damien Sandow has been earning a good amount of praise backstage by his peers in WWE. They are impressed by the fact that he has not grown frustrated with the new gimmick. Unfortunately for Sandow, though, management does not feel that he deserves a real push at the moment.

Alexander Rusev is posing a considerable problem for the WWE creative department nowadays. The staff was instructed to push him up the ladder, but they are now running out of options. His program with Jack Swagger has either ended or will end soon. Rusev cannot be placed into a program with someone lower on the card, and it's too soon for him to work against John Cena. Sheamus has been named as a possible opponent to help Rusev kill time.

For those that do not keep up with him outside of WWE, Paul Heyman actually has a ton of things going on in his professional life. In fact, things have picked up so much that he has now moved to Los Angeles to be closer to his business ventures. It has now been revealed that he is renting a house out there. Heyman should still be able to continue working with WWE.

It will be interesting to see how WWE handles the promotion of the world heavyweight championship over the next few weeks. Brock Lesnar is not scheduled to be back on television for approximately a month. John Cena, who is returning next week, is expected to get his rematch story line. Paul Heyman is great at what he does, but management will be curious to see how the audience reacts to a missing champion.

When Brock Lesnar interrupted the birthday celebration for Hulk Hogan on Monday Night Raw last week, he went off script a bit. The former UFC Heavyweight Champion said, "Party's over, grandpa." That was not a line fed to him by the WWE creative department. Reports are surfacing that Lesnar took that jab on his own or had help from Paul Heyman in coming up with that line.

There has to be a pretty big grin on the face of Paul Heyman nowadays because WWE is learning even more about just how valuable of an asset that he is to the company. Sales of his new DVD have been so tremendous that distributors in several countries, including Australia and England, are backed up and need more copies sent to them. The demand has just been much stronger than initially projected.

In an interesting move, WWE has decided to add Paul Heyman to the upcoming tour of Japan. He will be working three live events in the country, most likely serving as the manager for Antonio Cesaro. The move is a bit interesting because the Japanese fans really are more into the in ring performances than the microphone work, which is basically what Heyman's best asset is.

Despite being in the airplane spin for quite a few rotations, Sheamus was able to capture the victory over Antonio Cesaro, who had Paul Heyman with him at ringside, at Payback 2014 by surprising his opponent with a small package. With the win, Sheamus retains the United States Heavyweight Championship and will more than likely be placed in another feud by WWE tomorrow.

Despite never climbing the ranks and becoming a main event performer, WWE recognized the skills and passion that Joey Mercury had for the profession. In a feature on their website, the company put some spotlight on Mercury, who is now working as a trainer and backstage agent for WWE. Paul Heyman, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns had quite a bit of praise for Mercury.

The triple threat match at Extreme Rules 2014 quickly became a singles match after Jack Swagger was eliminated after a combination of a superplex and flying splash. Antonio Cesaro then won the match by pinning Rob Van Dam after delivering his Neutralizer finishing move on top of a trash can. Zeb Colter and Paul Heyman had minimal involvement.
