Reports are stating that the incident happened because Flair forgot that he was wearing his hall of fame ring. There is said to be no backstage heat between the two due to the injury.

Jericho even took it a step further by setting up a fund to help the fan with medical bills. Donations are also being accepted so that the ten year old daughter of the fan will have some money after he passes away.
