After a couple of years working in Japan, Kaz Hayashi wanted to try something bigger, so he opted to go wrestle in Mexico back in 1997. It proved to be quite the career move, as within five months of arriving in the company, he was recruited by WCW and signed to a contract. This was during the time where Eric Bischoff was collecting global talent at a rapid pace.

"There is no real comparison, that is like comparing a diamond and a chunk of coal. Vince McMahon is an absolute master, he is a brilliant man, you take a look at going up against WCW, Ted Turner and that whole organisation. Turner gave us all no cut contracts; Hulk Hogan, Brutus Beefcake, Bret Hart, and myself all went to WCW. Vince then took all the cast offs like Triple H and Steve Austin and turned them into global superstars and once again he was on top. You've got to give Vince credit, he is not your friend, if you want a friend go buy a puppy, Vince is your boss. He will use you and make you money but when the time is right he will flush you down the toilet and won't think twice about it, welcome to the real world."

- Jim Duggan on Eric Bischoff

There are rumors floating around that Carlito could be one of the bigger names to sign with Jeff Jarrett and Global Force Wrestling. "My contract was started midway thru the year last year but altogether with salary+appearances I was on pace for roughly $75,000-$84,000 for a year period. That's if my schedule is as busy as it was last summer/fall. Also that's only counting TNA. I'd make a lot more if I kept up with other bookings outside but I just don't. I'm also guaranteed a huge chunk of that regardless of if I wrestle or not. So it's pretty ok considering I do what I love. I'm on the low end on the roster too. Most guys do way better than me." - Manik reveals salary in TNA

"Honestly, I'm probably not going to sign my Legends deal with WWE because I don't think they did the right thing by the guys with the video game. The check was a little low. Last year, there was a bankruptcy, but this year there wasn't. So, I don't see the upside to signing the Legends deal when the carrot isn't there dangling. So, I'm not going to sign my Legends deal." - Mick Foley reveals why he is not signing a new contract with WWE

It appears that Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian are set to leave TNA once their contract expires in the coming weeks. Both performers are already accepting bookings on the independent wrestling circuit. There are rumors floating around that Bad Influence could be taking off to Japan or joining Jeff Jarrett in Global Force Wrestling later this year.

Rumors are still going around that Vince Russo is involved with TNA, even though a lot of people within the company have denied that being the case. There are new reports that Russo actually is under a consultant contract that expires in a few months. The belief is that he is helping TNA with the story lines, even though he is not officially a part of the creative department.

Even though he has not been with the company for quite a few weeks now, CM Punk is still receiving paychecks from WWE. He still ranks among the top merchandise movers in the entire company, with some reports stating that he only trails John Cena in that category. Punk is still under contract to WWE, so management is still paying him his royalties.
April 18, 2014
Since he is one of their more underrated performers, TNA has managed to sign Robbie E to a long term contract extension. Some within the company view that he can be a star down the line, especially since he is still just 30 years of age. There were some questions as to whether or not Robbie was going to stay with the company since the status of his girlfriend Brooke Tessmacher has been up in the air.

While an agreement has been reached between the two sides, it appears that Sting still has yet to sign the contract, wanting to make sure that he and his people go through the details of the arrangement with WWE very finely before making a commitment. One of the main issues is the amount of dates that Sting will have to work as an in ring performer. He will not be wrestling much for WWE.
April 15, 2014
Some potentially interest news coming out of WWE this week is that Rey Mysterio might have actually allowed his contract with the company to expire. The former world heavyweight champion hopped on a plane yesterday afternoon with his family to Hawaii for a little vacation. He was not on Monday Night Raw, and he is not expected at Smackdown.
April 15, 2014
While rumors have persisted for months now that he was going to be leaving the company once his contract expires, there are talks that Christopher Daniels could be sticking around with TNA. Some are under the belief that a new contract has been reached, as he is going to be challenging for the X Division Championship against Seiya Sanada in Japan later on this week.

Since the company needs room for all the new stars that they are bringing up from the developmental program, WWE is expected to allow several of the veteran performers to leave the company soon. The belief is that Heath Slater will be allowed to walk once his contract expires. The 3MB member has expressed frustration backstage over not receiving a push.
April 14, 2014
While the company has managed to bring in a couple of new faces over the last several months, TNA has suffered a loss in their talent roster, as Chris Sabin has opted to leave the company. His contract has expired, and the offer presented to him was not favorable enough for him to stick around. Sabin is heading back to the independent wrestling circuit for the time being.
April 13, 2014
Another name that is rumored to be released by WWE soon is Aksana. While she is on good terms with management now, the backstage relationship has always been up and down. The belief is that the company views her as being expendable and will more than likely allow her to walk once her contract expires. WWE needs room for newer stars.
April 13, 2014
Since WWE introduced quite a bit of new performers on Monday Night Raw this week, rumors have been running rampant about which of the current stars on the main roster are going to be removed to make room. One of the names that has popped up is Goldust, as his contract with WWE is expiring in the near future. The veteran performer signed a short term deal upon his return last year.

"David Arquette is his own animal. As much heat as he ever took, for him, all the money he made for that pay per view when he busted me over the head with the guitar and Jeff Jarrett took the world title, the money he made, he gave to Melanie Pillman. When he pinned Eric Bischoff, not me, and I will go on record as saying that was the biggest clusterfuck ever, and it never should have happened, but it did. That being said, that was the booking committee. It was not Arquette, and every fan that has ever roasted him, should dip their own ass in boiling oil because everyone of you that has buried Arquette, if put in the same position, you would have jumped through a hoop of burning oil to do the same shit. That's why when everyone busts his balls on that, I just want to smack someone. I'm like, "really, you, Marko Mark? You would have died for that." - Diamond Dallas Page defending David Arquette for winning a championship

"For the record, I am not making any personal appearances at any events. Someone is spreading some bullshit suggesting that I am. Save your money. I don't know who started this nonsense, but I have not had a conversation with anyone about any appearances." - Eric Bischoff warning fans
March 6, 2014
Much speculations have been made about the status of Eric Bischoff and TNA. During a recent interview, Dixie Carter shed some light on that topic. She stated that he and his BHE production company are still the executive producers of Impact Wrestling. Bischoff is no longer as involved in the day to day operations, but he does still have an interest in the company.

In the story line, Eric Bischoff was the one that invented the Elimination Chamber match. However, in reality, though, it has now been revealed that Triple H was indeed the person backstage that came up with the idea. Bischoff acknowledged that through his Twitter account, and HHH stated it publicly in an interview for WWE.

February 20, 2014

It has been a couple of months now since he was sent home from the company, and it appears that Eric Bischoff is very unlikely to make his return to the TNA front office. He is making a good amount of money by being a television producer, and he really appears to enjoy his personal time, where he hangs out with his family and travels frequently.

February 11, 2014

One of the most controversial moments in wrestling took place when Eric Bischoff signed Alundra Blayze away from WWE. Well, it turns out that the former WCW president is still close to his former employee. The two of them were spotted hanging out together in Arizona recently.

"Bischoff was a genius. He could be an asshole at times. I had an amazing relationship with him. We don't even talk today, which is so f---ed up to me, and it's his fault, because he sucks on the phone. We don't even have a relationship anything like we had, but at the time, it was a real relationship... (Now) he doesn't even return a phone call, which is so obnoxious."

January 16, 2014

Another name on the chopping block in TNA right now is Garett Bischoff, who has not really done much in the company since management decided to split up the Aces and Eights stable. His father, Eric Bischoff, recently scaled back on his duties within TNA.

January 16, 2014

"I never had anything but good experiences with Eric. He was always a straight shooter with us, especially with Bad Influence. He was a big supporter of our act and I could always go to him with ideas and get an honest response from him. So I hope that he comes back and does stuff, and if he doesn't, I'm sure that wherever he ends up, he's going to end up being successful. But personally, selfishly speaking, I had fun working with him and I hope that he gets a chance to come back and sort of, continue adding his two cents to our creative direction."

January 16, 2014

"Um I think Bischoff is still around, I think it's just a production capacity. I think with Hogan, some people think he had more clout than he did. I think they really wanted him to do a bit more but I think he just didn't want to really do more at this time. As far as Hogan as a person, cool cat. As far as working with him, I wouldn't know. I never worked with them. I never see them, I never talk to them. When they just asked me 'This is what we need from you' I did it and that was that."

January 14, 2014

"Direct TV dropping WWE PPVs would open up some programming and promotional real estate for other producers (TNA, Bellator) who havent gotten a lot of promotional love. Could be a win/win/win. Interesting to watch this unfold"

January 11, 2014

It was a phone call, but the FedEx came the next day. It was basically exactly what Eric Bischoff said. "Steve, based upon the amount of days you've been incapacitated, and the amount of money we're paying you, we're going to go ahead and exercise our right to terminate the agreement." So basically you're telling me I'm fired, right? He said, "yeah, you're fired." So this was right when I had tore my triceps off my elbow and I was making my recovery. I was going to be a few more weeks. I had been out for several months. When you have a triceps detached it takes a while to grow back. So it was during that time, and prior to that I had had some knee issues. I had some messed up knees. Hey, man. I was a hard working guy and put it all on the line, but some debilitating injuries you just can't make your shots. So anyway, that was the way he broke down firing me. I think it had something to do with that, and him just not seeing a big future for a guy with thinning long blond hair called Stunning Steve Austin. Although, I was very angry when I got fired, because that was my job. I need my job to pay my bills. When I look back and look through Eric Bischoff's eyes at where he was and my look, my character or lack of, and what I was presenting, I don't blame him for making the decision that he made. I don't at all.

December 24, 2013

Eric Bischoff recently spent a couple of days in Las Vegas, where the former WCW president met with MX Gaming, an independent game developer that is currently working on a project with Hulk Hogan.
