Tyler Breeze

Hideo Itami at Wrestlemania

In case you haven't heard, NXT held a four man tournament to see who would performer with WWE stars at Wrestlemania in the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal. In the first round, Finn Balor defeated Tyler Breeze, while Hideo Itami defeated Adrian Neville, a strong favorite to win. Itami then defeated Balor in the tournament final. Unfortunately for him, though, the front office moved the battle royal off the main card.

Adrian Neville promotion

As of this very moment, it looks like WWE has Adrian Neville penciled in for a promotion to the main roster. The way they're going to do this is by having him winning the NXT tournament and earning a spot in the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal. The front office feels that it would be a good way to introduce him to their mainstream fans. There is even a slight chance that he might be given the win at Wrestlemania as a way to springboard his push.

It was long rumored that WWE was going to use NXT performers at Wrestlemania before the front office decided to load up the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal with known wrestlers on the main roster. Well, it has now been revealed that one of the spots will be given to a developmental wrestler. During Axxess, a tournament will be held with Adrian Neville, Finn Balor, Hideo Itami and Tyler Breeze to determine the spot filler.

Kevin Owens at Wrestlemania

Kevin Owens is having one of the best rookie years that NXT has ever seen. The belief is that WWE wanted to give him even more of a boost by giving him a spot in the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal at Wrestlemania. Unfortunately, he needed knee surgery, so that will not be happening. The front office then decided to do a tournament with Adrian Neville, Finn Balor, Hideo Itami and Tyler Breeze instead. One of them will get his spot.

Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania

In about a week and a half, Chris Jericho and Fozzy will be finishing up their tour of Europe. That is conveniently a weekly before Wrestlemania. Rumors are spreading that Jericho will making an appearance at the pay per view. WWE could throw him into the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal, but the more likely scenario has him higher up on the card and joining the ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship instead.
