As some of you may already know, Alberto Del Rio was presented with some offers from MMA promotions after he left WWE. He declined them all. The former world heavyweight champion said that the money was good for a fighter. However, he made a whole lot more as a professional wrestler, so he decided to stick to the industry. Del Rio still wanted to be involved in the sport, so he signed a contract to be a commentator.

However, he still wanted a way to be involved in the sport. Del Rio has found that way. The former world heavyweight champion has signed on to work as an announcer for a promotion in Mexico.

The promotion really wanted the former world heavyweight champion to come in and do a couple of fights. However, Del Rio was forced to reject their offer because the two sides could not come to terms on money. There are strong speculations floating around right now that Alberto Del Rio is going to dabble in MMA again, especially since Bellator president Scott Coker flat out stated that his management team has been in contact with the former world heavyweight champion. Del Rio has signed on for a couple of dates with ROH early in 2015, but he could spend the following months, preparing for mixed martial arts, as he does not have another long term deal in place yet.
