Over the weekend, WWE did a live event in Syracuse, New York. AJ Styles was one of the participants of the show. He worked a match against Tyler Breeze. It was said that Styles dominated the match on offense. The most interesting thing to come out of the show is the fact that AJ used the slingshot flying forearm as his finisher instead of the Styles Clash. Reports had surfaced that management was against him using his finisher.

When AJ Styles first showed up in WWE, he didn't immediately use the finishing move that he made world famous. That led many to believe that management was not allowing him to do the Styles Clash. It turns out that there were some hesitancy backstage in regards to allowing that move to be used. Vince McMahon apparently found out that Yoshi Tatsu was once seriously injured when the finisher was botched during a match in Japan.

Even though he has only been with WWE for less than a month, AJ Styles has already picked up some backstage heat. Even worse, the heat is with Vince McMahon himself. The CEO is upset with Styles because he signed a deal with a toy company prior to signing his contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. This is the same company that signed Kevin Owens back when he was receiving his big push against John Cena last year.

Interestingly enough, the theme song that WWE gave AJ Styles is still a hot conversation within the internet wrestling community. A little tidbit being passed around is that the performer who does the lyrics is a rapper by the name of CFO$, and he is the same person that does the entrance theme songs for Paige, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor and Sasha Banks as well. Word has it that he also did the NXT theme song for Austin Aries.

When AJ Styles made his surprising entrance at the Royal Rumble, the internet wrestling community was quick to criticize the theme song that WWE chose for the former world heavyweight champion. Reports have now surfaced that the inspiration behind the song is "Ain't No Sunshine" by rapper DMX. World Wrestling Entertainment wanted a gruff theme for Styles.

After weeks of being rumored, AJ Styles has finally made his debut for WWE by being the third person to enter the Royal Rumble. Roman Reigns had eliminated Rusev, who was the second entrant. Not surprisingly, the audience turned on Reigns and immediately sided with Styles. AJ was made to look like a top level performer, with Michael Cole even telling fans that he has been dominant in other parts of the world.
