Through Penguin Random House, AJ Lee has signed a contract to write and release her autobiography. The former WWE Divas Champion will be spending much of 2016 writing down her memoirs. AJ spends much of her time supporting CM Punk in Wisconsin as he trains for his UFC debut. She also makes various appearances at comic and wrestling convention. The book is scheduled to be released in early 2017.

Since she is the hot topic in the industry right now, there are those that have been speculating whether AJ Lee is only retired from WWE or completely done as an in ring performer. Some are thinking that she might end up working on the independent wrestling circuit, in order to satisfy her thirst for performing. However, the belief is that she will be locked out of doing that until her contract officially expires. AJ would probably take the time off regardless.

Despite already having a good amount of experience wrestling on the main roster in WWE, Maria Kanellis recently revealed that she would more be more than enthusiastic to sign a deal and work in NXT. The brand is receiving universal praise for allow the female performers the opportunity to showcase their skills, something that AJ Lee has publicly complained about. Maria is currently with ROH, but the promotion cannot afford a long term contract.

Long before Mike Bennett and AJ Lee came into their lives respectively, Maria Kanellis and CM Punk were an item. During a recent interview, the former was asked about the latter leaving WWE and signing a contract with UFC. She defended her former boyfriend by stating that his body was beat up quite a bit because he was on the road more than a lot of the other stars. Maria also stated that Punk was not treated as well as some of the other top stars.

A lot of wrestling fans have been speculating on the potential departure of AJ Lee from WWE. However, it should be noted that she is still under contract with the company. Unlike her husband, CM Punk, she does not want to walk away from the deal because she wants the door left open for a potential return. AJ is said to still be quite passionate about being a wrestler, so a comeback after an extended break remains a very big possibility.
