Since WWE is throwing a lot of performers into the ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania, they are going to need a lot of bodies to be able to fill up the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal. Right now, management is looking at the NXT roster and trying to decide which one of them to utilize. A name that is near the top of all the lists backstage is Adrian Neville. Management wants to showcase him a bit.

At the latest Takeover event, NXT fans saw Finn Balor defeating Adrian Neville, which means that he is now the top contender to the heavyweight championship. He is now scheduled to work a program with Kevin Owens, who defeated Sami Zayn in the main event tonight. Balor is on the receiving end of a push from WWE officials, but Owens is expected to remain the champion and feud with Zayn for the next several months.

When he dropped the NXT Heavyweight Championship to Sami Zayn, many were under the impression that Adrian Neville was going to be immediately called up to the main roster in WWE. However, that does not appear to be the case, as the former champion is scheduled for the weekly developmental television show until at least the middle of January. That has led to speculations that he could be called up in time to be one of the Royal Rumble participants.

In a highly anticipated moment, Sami Zayn was finally able to capture the NXT Heavyweight Championship by beating Adrian Neville during an excellent match at Revolution tonight. Fans online have been begging WWE to put the championship on the former ROH star, and the audience was very vocal about it as well. The agents attempted to throw off the fans a bit by utilizing the injured referee spot, but in the end, Zayn won via pin fall.
