With Wrestlemania 30 plans changing on a daily basis backstage in WWE, it looks like the company is narrowing down the choices of opponents for Daniel Bryan at the pay per view. Triple H is the heavy favorite, but Kane has sprung up as a potential candidate as well.
Talks about inducing Paul Bearer into the hall of fame during Wrestlemania 30 weekend have died down considerably as of late, as there are many people backstage that feel that his induction should be saved for when WWE decides to honor Kane and Undertaker.
The feeling backstage is that WWE will be giving Kane a pretty sizable push later on this year, as the veteran performer has impressed a lot of people with his commitment to fitness. He is in better shape than he has been at any other point in his career.
The record for most elimination in the Royal Rumble belongs to Kane, who once took out eleven performers. There are talks that Roman Reigns could be given the distinction of beating that tonight at Royal Rumble 2014. He is expected to be pushed heavily during the match.
Rumor has it that Kane will start wrestling again soon, as WWE has started putting him into matches during live events. He recently worked an extremely sloppy match against Zack Ryder, before being beaten by the Big Show afterwards in Buffalo.
Since the Super Bowl is being played on Sunday, WWE has decided to do their live event in Lakeland, Florida at 1pm. The advertised main event for the show is a match between Kane and Big Show, who was injured last weekend. That has led many to believe that this is a throw away show.
Batista won Royal Rumble 2014 by eliminating Roman Reigns in the end. Other contestants during the match were Alberto Del Rio, Alexander Rusev, Antonio Cesaro, Big E Langston, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, El Torito, Erick Rowan, Fandango, Goldust, Great Khali, Jack Swagger, JBL, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Kane, Kevin Nash, Kofi Kingston, Luke Harper, R Truth, Rey Mysterio, Ryback, Seth Rollins, Sheamus and the Miz.
Randy Orton predictably defeated the Big Show to retain the WWE Heavyweight Championship at the Survivor Series. He was able to hit the RKO after Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Kane provided the distraction by coming out to the ramp.
Kane visited the WWE performance center for the very first time.
