CM Punk popularized the term, but there were other Paul Heyman guys before him. Mr Anderson is one of them. While training in OVW, Anderson wasn't given much of a chance by Jim Cornette. Once Heyman took over, he finally was able to capture the attention of WWE. Anderson openly credits Heyman with helping to create his character and helping to sell him to management.
