Monday Night Raw cancellation

As if things were not hectic enough in WWE during the beginning of the week, Vince McMahon and Triple H could be left scrambling because Monday Night Raw might be canceled. The governor of Florida issued a state of emergency for all of Florida because of Tropical Storm Erika, which decimated Dominica already. It is headed towards Tampa, where the show was supposed to be filmed at the Amalie Arena.

His popularity has skyrocketed since becoming a big movie star in Guardians of the Galaxy. His success in Hollywood has brought him even more fans. The former world heavyweight champion recently reached the one million mark when it comes to followers on Twitter.

GFW television deals

When GFW heads over to England in October to do a couple of live events, Jeff Jarrett is going to be quite busy. He will be spending most of his time promoting the show and running the event. In his spare time, he will also be taking some meetings to see if he can get an international television deal in the United Kingdom. Jarrett is also still working on a domestic television deal in the United States.

During a podcast interview with Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone revealed that the reason why he quit drinking and partying with Ric Flair is because Flair eventually shows his genitals at some point in the night. Schiavone also noted that Flair would be sneaky at times and throw away his drink while no one was looking. That enabled Flair to have a reputation as a party animal without being completely drunk.

Since WWE treats the live event at Madison Square Garden as a pay per view, rumors surfaced that management had signed Jushin Liger to work the show. While he has indeed signed on to work more dates for the promotion, he will not be in New York City that night. The legend from Japan has already been booked on that date in England, where he will face AJ Styles in a dream match.

Flair chooses new Horsemen

During his latest podcast interview show, Ric Flair was asked to choose four members of the current WWE roster if the Four Horsemen were to be reborn. His first choice was Dolph Ziggler, whom he says is a great worker. Seth Rollins was his next choice. Flair also chose The Miz because he generates good heel heat. His last choice was Antonio Cesaro, who already has the look of a Horsemen.

Since he did such a good job during the first match, NXT officials are thinking about having Tyler Breeze as the primary opponent for Jushin Liger, who recently signed a new contract with WWE that will see him working additional dates. Finn Balor and Samoa Joe are two other potential candidates to work against the legend from Japan. Main roster guys such as Adrian Neville could be brought down for a match as well.

Kamala not underpaid

Earlier in the year, Kamala revealed that he was paid $13,000 for his Summerslam match in 1992 against the Undertaker, who was paid $500,000. He hinted that racism might have played a part in that. Those within WWE are said to have brushed off the comment, noting that one man was a much bigger draw than the other. It is not unusual for performers to be paid differently even though they are working together.

When Triple H said that he wanted NXT to be something special, he was not kidding. His aggressive business tactics have caught the attention of the entire professional wrestling industry. Despite the brand losing money for WWE, a Takeover special for London has been announced. It will take place in December. The brand will also be doing six shows in various cities in England prior to that special.
