Hardcore Halloween canceled

Initially, Rockstar Spud, Brooke Tessmacher and several other TNA performers were scheduled to do a quick three show tour at the end of the month. However, management has now decided to cancel the Hardcore Halloween events. It is being said that changes in logistics are the reason for the cancellation, as the front office was rather pleased with how ticket sales were going. The performers are still getting a paycheck for that weekend.

TNA negotiates with James Storm

Now faced with the reality that they might lose one of their longest standing performers, TNA has made some calls to James Storm to see if he would be interested in staying with the promotion instead of joining NXT on a full time basis. Reports have surfaced that Storm has not officially signed a long term agreement with WWE just yet. A decision will be needed from the former world heavyweight champion soon.

WWE releases Devin Taylor

Reports have surfaced that Devin Taylor has been given a release from her developmental contract with WWE. She had been working as an interviewer for the NXT brand. Devin signed with the company in 2013 and made her debut in 2014. Management has yet to release an official statement, but sources associated with TMZ are saying that it is a done deal. Devin has a college degree in broadcast journalism, so she should be fine.

As some of you may already know, the official job title for Stephanie McMahon is Chief Branding Officer. She is about to get some help. WWE has created a new vice president position, and that person will be serving directly under Stephanie. The main job responsibility will be to form strategic alliances and partnerships with other organizations that will mutually benefit World Wrestling Entertainment.

On Wednesday night, Arrow made its return to television and numbers were considerably much better than it has ever been. Stephen Amell attributes some of that to the new followers that he received by doing a match at Summerslam for WWE. He took to social media to thank all of the professional wrestling fans that checked out his show. Amell seems genuinely grateful towards the industry.

Mysterio wins Destiny title

In a rather interesting move, Rey Mysterio has been crowned the new Destiny Heavyweight Champion. He captured the title in a triple threat match in Ontario that also featured former WWE star Justin Gabriel. In case you didn't know, the promoter for this company is Santino Marella, another former World Wrestling Entertainment performer as well. This means that Mysterio will be heading back to Canada more frequently this year.

Sammartino back surgery

The legendary Bruno Sammartino recently turned 80 years old, and his body is really feeling it. He is still recovering from a recent back surgery that was required because of a fall caused by his weakened knees. The former world heavyweight champion is said to be in good spirits, however. Sammartino is reportedly walking several miles a week, even though his legs are not completely healed, to keep up with his health.

Footage of Jimmy Snuka attending court in Allentown has surfaced online. As expected, he looked every bit as frail as reports have made him out to be. The WWE legend, however, was not carted in a wheelchair into the facilities. He walked on his own. His lawyers gave a public statement, saying that his client was not dreading the trial. He said that Snuka was actually looking forward to clearing his name.

Chyna in dispute

Yet another negative incident involving Chyna has surfaced. She is alleging that a promoter in the United Kingdom owes her money for an appearance that she made back in August. David Low, who ran the event, stated that the original agreement was that she earn her fee by signing autographs and keeping the money that the fans pay for the quick session. He also claims that is the agreement he has had with other wrestlers for years now.
