Reports have surfaced that Devin Taylor has been given a release from her developmental contract with WWE. She had been working as an interviewer for the NXT brand. Devin signed with the company in 2013 and made her debut in 2014. Management has yet to release an official statement, but sources associated with TMZ are saying that it is a done deal. Devin has a college degree in broadcast journalism, so she should be fine.

In a rather interesting tidbit, Mark Henry revealed that he was ready to retire as an in ring performer back in 2013. The former world heavyweight champion was more than willing to remain with WWE in a backstage role. However, when he went to the headquarters and spoke with Vince McMahon, he was somehow convinced to sign another multiple year deal by the CEO.

As if the legal department wasn't busy enough with all the concussion lawsuits from former performers, WWE is now being hit with a lawsuit from a security guard that worked a live event in 2013. Twelve performers who worked that night are being sued, as the man is not entirely sure who hit him with a chair. His belief is that it was Dean Ambrose. His lawyer is reviewing videos to make sure.

Despite being one of the more popular performers with the internet wrestling community, Dean Ambrose has surprisingly not been given a lot of singles victories on pay per view events. His defeat of Luke Harper at Extreme Rules was his first one since beating Dolph Ziggler at Night of Champions back in 2013. WWE has put him in high profile situations, but they need to give him more victories to win over the remaining fans.

Since he still has a good amount of fans, people have been wondering when Rob Van Dam would make another return to WWE. During a recent interview, he revealed why he is not in a rush to do so. He stated that he enjoyed his return in 2013 because the company was fully behind him. When he made his return in 2014, RVD felt that the creative department had nothing for him. He felt like he was lost in the shuffle.

Another opponent for Alberto Del Rio has been named by ROH. The promotion chose ACH, a seven year veteran of the industry, who has been with Ring of Honor since 2012. He has never held a championship in the promotion, but he was listed as the 113th best performer by Pro Wrestling Illustrated in 2013. Del Rio will be working the match against him at the Dearborn, Michigan live event on January 30, 2015.

The very first GFW pay per view will be taking place in a couple of weeks, so Jeff Jarrett has been working diligently to find a broadcasting partner for Jim Ross. They attempted to get Mike Tenay, but TNA turned that down because they do not want their employees to help out competing promotions. Jarrett and Ross then turned to Matt Striker, an underrated talker that was released from WWE back in June of 2013 when his contract expired.
